Welcome to Georgia Obesity.com. Each day someone is affected

every person knows someone who is overweight. In America, it is
estimated that over one fourth of the population is overweight,
and this trend is increasing with each year.

We have all tried to lose weight. Only a small percentage
of Georgians are successful with diet and exercise alone. Weight
gain for most is not as simple as eating too much and not exercising
enough. Just changing your eating habits for a few months does not
produce long term weight loss. When trying to cure disease such
as Type II Diabetes, Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Osteoarthritis, and
Hypertension, more is needed.
With 5 million Americans suffering from morbid obesity,
this disease is starting to affect not only our personal lives,
but our society. It is estimated that 14% of United States healthcare
dollars is spent on the treatment of obesity. If obesity continues
to rise at its current rate in the United States, by the year 2020
about one in five health care dollars spent on people ages 50-69
could be consumed by obesity-related medical problems -- up about
50 percent from 2000.
There are numerous options for weight loss. We are dedicated to
informing you about the most successful long term option for weight
loss. Contained within this site is information that will help you
select the best method for you to lose weight. Whether it is with
a low calorie diet, exercise, or surgery for morbid obesity, we
hope that we can help you in your quest to become healthy.
